Welcome to the TB Community Coordination Hub
U.S. stop work orders, funding freezes, lay-offs and now terminations of awards mean the fight to #EndTB is at risk of being tremendously set back. While the work of the TB Hub sunset after the #2023TBHLM, we know that an informed and coordinated community is essential to fighting back and protecting the lives of people with TB, as well as the livelihoods of those committed to the cause of health for all. So, we’re resurrecting the “TB Community Coordination Hub” to bring together global voices of civil society, professionals, and the people and communities affected by Tuberculosis to unite to sustain the fight to #EndTB. Here you will find up to date resources and actions to inform and support you to persevere the fight and stand in solidarity during these uncertain and trying times. Because TOGETHER - #YesWeCanEndTB
#EndTB champions around the world will not sit idle when we know people with TB and their communities are being put at risk. We will unite and take action to fill gaps in funding and care. Take the actions below to help realize a reversal of terminations of awards and call on the global community to work together to combat anti-aid sentiment and find new allies who will fight for what counts!
1. SHARE & USE THE FINDINGS OF OUR TB SPECIFIC SURVEY LOOKING AT THE IMPACT OF STOP WORK ORDERS.
To document the impacts of the stop-work order and funding freezes on TB programs and partners, and to mobilize action and resources, we ran a TB-specific impact survey from February 11 - 24, 2025. This time-period reflects stop work orders and not final terminations of contracts, which began Feb 25. The survey, modelled on a PEPFAR Impact Survey, received 180 responses from over 30 countries. Read and make use of our initial summary report in your advocacy!
Please also help to stir up media and social media attention in reaction to the issue and findings. Share this press release with your media contacts and make use of this social media toolkit.
We are also working on developing country case studies by interviewing survey respondents who were willing to share. Read and make use of these country case studies: Cambodia case study
2. IF YOU ARE BASED IN THE US, EMAIL YOUR MEMBER OF CONGRESS & UNITE WITH PEERS.

3. IF YOU ARE BASED OUTSIDE OF THE US, ENGAGE THE U.S. AMBASSADORS IN YOUR COUNTRY!
There is an Ambassador representing the U.S in most countries. Adapt this template letter to call for support to bring an American commitment to #EndTB. Remember that Ambassadors are not necessarily TB technical experts, but will be keen to sustain work if they understand how it strengthens the relationship between your country and the United States. We strongly recommend NOT naming any particular entities or organizations (either local or global), but instead focusing on the outcomes of U.S. funding for TB and the need to sustain local efforts. This letter was drafted in such a way to keep the sender safe.
4. ADVOCATE FOR GAPS IN FUNDING & PROGRAMMING TO BE FILLED!
We can not remain silent and evidently couldn’t rely on the Trump Administration to bring USAID funding back online. We must look for alternative sources of funding and ask allies of people and global health to step up and in. Initial thoughts to explore together including making a shift towards self-sufficiency and mobilizing domestic resources; calling on other donors and supporters throughout the G20 and high-net worth eco-system to step up and in; and looking to innovative financing solutions. Here are a few advocacy actions you can take right now!

5. IF YOU FEEL SAFE, RAISE YOUR VOICE!
Take to social media and traditional sources of media to raise your voice to #EndTB and protect global health. Talk about why strong TB responses are important for individual, community, and global health and ask for a reversal of award terminations and/or for others to step up to fight for what counts.
